Safety: While cruising with Cruise Control engaged "BrakeSwitch" allows your Exhaust Brake to be armed and your Exhaust Brake will be closed with normal application of brake. In an emergency or panic stop No looking for or remembering a switch to move. Simply apply brakes. Stopping distance is substantially reduced when your Exhaust Brake is used.
Economical: Any time you have brakes applied your Exhaust Brake should be closed. Very convenient with "BrakeSwitch" engaged - just a tap for your brake pedal (As if releasing your cruise control) will close the exhaust brake. This absorbs the stopping energy while saving Heat, Wear and Tear on your brakes. A real money saver.
Convenience: While traveling on rural roads you have Exhaust Brake available without the annoyance of Brake closing every time your throttle is closed. With "BrakeSwitch" you can have Exhaust Brake simply by touch your brake pedal (same as releasing a cruise control). You can coast when you like. Anytime "BrakeSwitch" is activated your Exhaust Brake will be opened by a touch of your throttle.
Mountains: Touch of your brake pedal is all you need to deploy the Exhaust Brake. As you descend the mountain and the grade decreases, you do NOT need to add power or disarm "BrakeSwitch". Just touch your throttle and the coach is now back in coast mode. If speed increases, a touch of brake pedal will deploy the Exhaust Brake again. With a proper Exhaust Brake installed very little brake is needed to keep coach speed under control.
System Integrity: "BrakeSwitch" does NOT modify your Exhaust Brake system. "BrakeSwitch" is an electronic device that installs upstream of your Exhaust Brake switch. Your system does NOT know if it has been deployed by your switch or by "Brake Switch". You have control. Convenience and Safety are enhanced.
